I've concluded that as Audi's engineers have no control over the availability of drivers with 'mechanical sympathy' that they slightly cripple the engine ECU with a more conservative map -

The current RSQ3 has just got past the 20k mark - same behaviour.
Interesting. If you know anyone with a nearly new RSQ3 it would be interesting to launch them both side by side!

Agreed on the oil, longlife is bs, I change every 15k km. Only invented to keep leasing companies happy.
Curious about the map changing. I have noticed a change in sound, the exhaust must have settled too by now. I have 31k km now.
Performance wise I didn’t notice much.

On paper there isn't much in it for the 0-60 sprint 4.1 (B9 RS4) vs 4.4s (RSQ3 Performance). Having had both cars - they both feel stupidly quick - however at the 1st decent corner the RSQ3 would have a good attempt at flying off the road whereas the RS4 would sail round as though the bend wasn't there.

Thanks all,

I changed the oil and it was circa £350 including a new rear wiper blade.

Sadly car now in a body Shop to deal a pillar that jumped out at me and someone else supermarket trolley - an annoying ding
