Nogaro Blue - how much

Post by Swegen » Tue Mar 19, 2019 7:55 pm

For those people who have how much did it cost ?

I notice on that UK MY18 pricelist PDF it was 2,400 GBP option. Dealer here in NZ has quoted 12,000 NZD= 6,200 GDP

Curious what other people have actually paid in different regions as that seems to be a massive difference for paint, and I'm struggling to think of a reason Audi could justify that.

It's worth that much, because it's a very special colour.

GBP 6,200!!
Japan equivalent is GBP 3,000 .....and that's expensive I thought. To your point, Sonoma Green also 0 cost option here, not so in some markets it seems.
I'm told here that there is plus 8~12wk lead time - as it depends when they get production run on Nogaro Blue in Paint Shop - but if you ask me most of the premium is to keep the color exclusive, because of it's genealogy:) The Dealers don't particularly like that delay (for the buck) either, they'd prefer a quicker payday;-)
Right now FWIW it's been taken it off the options list here, that being an Audi Japan Sales decision it seems, ..... so it's appears difficult to follow clear / hard guidelines on availability & cost premium.
Not a lot of her to you, but still gasping GBP6,200!? Good God. Couldn't handle that. Personally, I'd never recover that satisfaction smiles or in resale.

Thanks, really helpful seeing what Japan were being charged. Struggling to see how could justify nz price, maybe is very heavy paint and cost more to transport ...

Wow, that’s about 3 times the cost as in Germany when I ordered mine. Great color but not at that price.

“Dealer here in NZ has quoted 12,000 NZD= 6,200 GDP”

I was quoted $9000 NZD but told it would add months to an already extended build date, went with Sonoma Green in the end....

Also in the back of my mind was Audi could make it a standard colour on a MY update. Have had that happen to me before.

I think I paid £2,400 for Nog.

Love the colour, mystic blue was considered too, but went bold in the end!

Standout better in the snow...

Yep, I went for non-res and the vid is in 'dynamic'. Really should take more vids, it sounds fairly apocalyptic in the woods & through tunnels - I like that our family estate can do that! Very sedate in comfort, the only drawback is the cold-start racket but that's about it.

On a side point - I have had some build quality issues with my unit. Now resolved, but largely due to the efforts of the installer.
