I can recommend this installer in UK:

So from that I'm concluding that the Milltek device is actually sourced from Cete? For anyone teetering on the edge of buying one then:

£406.98 fitted - the Milltek version appears to have a Bluetooth App - iOS and Android. I wonder if you have a Cete version then it could possibly have a Bluetooth capability?

My understanding was that the milltek was a redabdged CETE.

Have you also looked at the ASR components option?
Slightly different operation. You can select which mode you want the flaps to be in everytime you start the car ie you can set it to start in quiet mode regardless of the last mode you left it in. Works from a key fob but there is an option for the rs3 to wire it to a spare button on the dash so pretty sure you could adapt this to work in an RS4.

If you have a Cete one it would be interesting to see if you installed the Milltek app to your phone if you could control the flaps?

Thanks Mike - I passed over it, concluding that it looked like the MTM version rebadged though I could be completely wrong (same grey box). I already have a remote control attached to the key for the garage door.
There is a good possibility that there is one source manufacturer - must be a bit peeved that Audi have all but stopped building RS4/5. There are probably more AVC kits on the shelves in Europe than cars to fit them to...

A couple of minor updates:
1) On the Cete box front - if I search the Google Play store for Cete Automotive the it pops an option to download an App called 'Active Sound Gateway' so it seems possible the boxes are Bluetooth enabled.
2) I insure with Saga (no shame when one is 61) so I asked what the insurance impact of the AVC box would be - assuring them that there would be no performance increase. They have called back today having talked to the underwriters and confirmed it will be recorded as a modification with no additional premium required - result!

Update - despite the promises of two separate UK Milltek dealers including a fitting appointment that wasn't honoured despite a 4 hour round trip (MG Autos) and further broken promises from Turner Race Developments (conclusion now is that Milltek's dealer network has issues that damage the brand) I never managed to procure a Milltek SSXAU763 kit (made by Cete).
So have ordered a kit from Cete direct in Germany and will follow Tx in finding an independent to fit it.
