Is Paint quality colour dependant

Post by Iannorwich » Fri Nov 09, 2018 11:51 pm

Viewed a pre registered carbon addition today in glacier white and the paint quality didn’t look good, it didn’t help that there were lots of scratchs from poor washing but the paint it’s self was no where near flat with a bad orange peel afect. Is this a one off or is it specific to the colour?

My Nardo paint is extremely good and it’s a generally akward colour being so flat. That doesn’t sound good though !

That doesn't sound good - I'd want a really keen deal and a professional detail/machine polish done - not the regular dealer PDI bay effort.

My Misano red example has exceptional paint quality, probably the best I've ever had on any Audi.
