Brake Noise (Squealing)

Hey Guys
I have recently joined and this forum is great! I have a July 2018 delivery RS4 B9 and just fantastic in so many ways however I have an annoying squealing brake issue.
It's intermittent (of course!) so has only been heard by Audi Australia Service in person, on one occasion, when I arrived at the service centre the first time but I have been able to record it and you can hear it on the links downloadable below
https://we.tl/t-rqAB9vYoT7
https://we.tl/t-FuXE0tAAMS
It has now been to Audi 3 times and I am starting to get p'd off as once a noise like this is in your head it drives you mad.
My trip home last week from the service centre was infuriating as the brakes squealed 3 times having just been told the fault cannot be found.
I now have written to them asking if they are testing it for long enough etc as it happens circa once every 10 braking situations.
Has anyone experienced this with your RS4 B9 or any car and how has it been dealt with by Audi or another manufacturer.
I will post some pics of my RS4 in the B9 picture thread.
Thanks in advance.

My RS6 did it, my RS4 occasionally does it. Pretty normal for a RS. Some hard braking normally fixes it for a while but it comes back. Ignore it

Having read through all the threads on the forum now (collect mine 23rd October '18) the squeaky brakes thing is a known issue, seems the consensus view as described by MarkP previously is to go and put some serious heat into the brakes - I guess the pads get a bit glazed/shiny and that's what needs taking off.
On my current RSQ3 I'm running EBC Red Stuff disc pads front and rear and they excellent on several counts - no squeaks, don't rip the surface off the (VERY expensive) discs that have a 2mm wear limit and produce negligible dust with a 30% increase in braking efficiency - not a lot not to like. I spoke to EBC on Monday of this week and they are planning to introduce pads for the B9 RS4 and current RS5 - the EBC adviser said would be about 6 months, most likely Yellow Stuff pads for our cars which have similar positive attributes.

Thanks for the feedback Markp and RS4John
RS4John, I did not see your post but did search the internet for anything on this subject and was not aware there was a known issue.

Not sure this addresses your concern ...... more an explanation than a solution, but it's same VW Group OEM and same issue (I believe) ;

It's a RS issue imho and a result of the awful brakes they give us. Allegedly can be sorted with non OE pads albeit I just switched over to AP Racing which suits me.

After owned all the RS4s just waiting for the B9
I have never had this issue
There have been occasions the a mild squeek has appered due to pad deposit build up on the disk but a good hard braking session clears it up
Slow city stop start driving is a known cause of squeeky brakes

Thanks. That’s really helpful.
Sounds like OEM / 3rd party fixes it from the comments above.

My GTR had insane squeling with OEM brakes & pads. Replaced the pads with Cosworth Streetmaster and it improved alot. AP Racing or Hawks DTC is said to have less or no squeling too.
My RS4 has minor squeling so far (10.1k km).

Update! Audi Australia are replacing my front discs and pads as the squealing is no longer intermittent as it is now erring on constant.
I am super impressed at this course of action however I made it clear it was unacceptable on a $180,000 (AUD List) car ( really on any car!) ...
Going in Monday.

If they are replacing the pads and disks i would recommend bedding them in correctly
With the following method which i have used over the years this should prevent the squeak coming back
On a clear stretch of road at 60 to 70 mph break hard to 10 mph trying not to activate the abs system
Then excelerate back to 60 to 70 mph and repeat the braking as above 8 to 10 times
The do not stop continue on trying not to use you brakes or stop until the brakes have cooled
A good result getting them replacing the disks and pads

I wouldnt trust Audi techs to do the proceedure i would do this your self when you get tge car back and you know its done properly
Im sure Audi will say soft gentle braking to bed in new brakes but any thing you read from performace braking companys they use the method i posted
