Wait what they are updating the a4?

I can’t see them releasing the rs4 on the new platform when it comes out
There is a mild facelift to the standard A4 - new lower bumpers front and rear etc, typical Audi mid-life facelift. I haven't read of any changes to RS4 - maybe they will add some more kit as standard? No, I'm dreaming obviously... :audibash:

Wouldn’t surprise me on the face lift, would be surprised if the interior was updated on the facelift though.

I’m in the showroom Friday so will ask if they have any dates been fed back to them

The 4 week 'additional' delay I mentioned in a recent post has since been revised - for the better.
Production was completed Dec 4th and after time in 'Service Shop' (not sure what they do there...service?:) ) then it ships Dec 7th. My order was taken Oct. 18th
==> Planning is maybe(?) being adjusted according to destination Markets at the current time, as opposed to 'first come orders - first built', ...IF as you say deliveries are not happening until Q2 in UK? [In Japan, the B9 RS4 Buyers have been waiting since before LAST Dec for Audi Japan to take orders :( - with advance orders taken from existing RS owners ahead of official launch].

In the last days, I’ve seen a couple of 68 plate cars on the road, so have deliveries started again ?

Worrying? Not if you have one already ;) But a right pain for anyone ordering one.

I can't help wondering if Audi have quietly dropped the B9 RS4 as a production model, a couple of months ago it still had pages on the Audi UK web site but they have almost all gone now - old web page links are pointed at the regular A4 pages - and this one specifically for RS models has one image and no links:https://www.audi.co.uk/explore-models/e ... ge/rs.html

Some dealers tend to keep cars unregistered close to a new reg. release to try and extract a premium over pre-reg. cars...... this is just my guess.

I have pre-Launch B9 order arriving Japan at start of Feb. Japan is way-yyy behind in launching B9 RS4 :-( My Dealer says that the Japan Launch / Official Sales start for B9 RS4 is supposed to be Jan 28th. This would support that there is no dropping of the B9 RS4 Production.

Because of production capacity limitations there are certain self imposed quotas I believe for respective Markets. Might UK, Audi's biggest EU market outside Germany, have 'sold too well', exceeding the UK B9 RS4 quota in 2018, and so they're holding back a little in 2019 before restarting Sales?

The quota suggestion is perfectly possible - according to the 'How Many are left' web sitehttps://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/?utf8=%E2 ... mit=Search 4x RS4 2.9s were registered in 2017 - (Audi Press cars -Gig80 on here bought one of them a month or so back) and then in 2018 a further 483 regular RS4s were registered and 85 Carbon Editions - 572 in total assuming there are no dealers with stock cars left. The other possibility is that as a low volume. niche market model that needs WLTP testing it's nearing the end of a very long list of cars that need certificating.

Audi Belgium posted on Facebook that the RS 4 (and other RS models) is back and ready to order.
