My lotus dealer gave me a full print of max speed and various 0- different number launches and various in gear acceleration times and G ratings etc.

Only available to lotus dealers.

Therefore if a tin pot car manufacturer in the middle of loads of fields can do it, I’m sure it is in the Audi somewhere !!

I’ve not driven B9, but I would assume, as above it’s the same as the RS6 in that you can hold it on the brake. But that’s not launch.
Just as good though?
I don’t think the straining gearbox will see it that way!

You’ll likely need a more up to date VCDS cable. I had to upgrade to the hex net to speak to most of the modules on my new SQ5

On a more normal note, why would you want to know ?
You've bought the car, so you're only setting yourself up for disappointment if it comes back saying it's had a tough life
You've got a warranty with the car, so if anything goes wrong, just throw it back to the dealer to fix it

You’d know if it is launch as the car would tell you on the dash.
B8 RS4 has launch control but doesn't come up on the dash.
RS3 the same, nowt on the dash when LC is ready.

Fyi tonight I tried just holding the brake and mashing the throttle with no "setup" for LC. It is definitely not the same thing.

Edit - apologies to Eddie as I tried launch today from some lights just individual TC still off etc and it absolutely flew away so as he says no difference at all. It is another level though to my old RS3, proper snaps your head back and actually makes me slightly dizzy!
