BM left early on the 3rd launch and still didn't catch the 4. Does launch really well tbf and feels significantly quicker off the blocks vs my old RS3.

Oh and a rolling start in D ... they did that on purpose to sandbag the 4 imho as who wouldn't be in S or manual if "racing".

The delay in the BMW launch was just wheel spin. He talked about a delay in the launch control but you can see the rear wheel spinning in the external shot.

But I don't doubt the rolling start though. The M3 has an anti lag system and he may have had that enabled. The BMW DCT is super quick too if downshift was preselected.
Audi were rumoured to be using electric turbos in the 2.9 before the RS4 was released but obv they didn't, these eliminate turbo lag.

It just shows you time and again, how consistent the RS4 just pulls away from standstill. Would love to see a drag between an RS4 and RS5 to see if there is any difference..

It's interesting to think that BMW claim the M3 CS is a 3.9 second car
