Sport Auto - Nordschleife lap

Post by Surrey Sam » Fri Jul 20, 2018 7:33 pm

A little under whelmed if I'm honest, albeit 7 seconds quicker than a C7 RS6. Horst von Saurma did pedal the previous generation RS5 around in a 7:59.

Perhaps it just needed painting to go quicker

Remap it, give it to Sabine.
No matter where you go, there you are.

Dyno shows 441ps this time, which is 441hp.
That 435bhp and a little down on Audis claim. Maybe this car wasn't run in properly.

Yeah but that's P-Mot so uncorrected for temp/humidity and air pressure you really need to see what P-Norm is. So 441 is prob about right.

7 seconds quicker than the C7 RS6, that's a huge amount. Its still a family estate car, did not bad I thought
BMW 540i
2018 GTR
F90 M5
X3MC
RS3 Saloon
RS7 FL best car I've owned. No faith in turbo oil screen (turbos failing) or sticking oil scraper ring causing missfires.
F10 M5 LCI still no rear grip lol
S7 black Edition Too big and heavy
S3 8V FL DSG 310ps, road noise is a joke
RS3 8P Rubbish
C7 RS6 Fantastic car but missed playing
GTR R35 800bhp, too extreme, crazy fast though
911 Turbo Remapped. Hated it
F10 M5, awesome but no rear grip
RS6 V10 700BHP crazy
Porsche Cayenne Turbo S 600bhp

I would be interested to see the difference in times between Hankooks and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S!

It would and they should say which they used.
From my vast experience of doing a total of one TF lap  , I would say tyres are super important to Nordschleife times.
I think the really quick published times are on Sport Cup 2 as many performance cars have Cup 2's on the options list and so it's legit to use them.
