Tyres - what did yours come with
Some people saying Continental - mine came with Hankook ventus S1 Evo 2's. Feels really grippy and no complaints but why would there be different tyres?

Continental SportContact 6 (19" wheels) (May 2018 build)
My guess is early cars came with Hankooks, later Contis.
Hankooks getting positive feedback
PS I don't know if you have looked at the spare under the boot but it appears to have a diameter an inch or so smaller than the wheels so I won't be rushing to use it.

When tyres are brand new the space saver is 10mm less in diameter, when tyres are at 3mm it is the same, and at legal min the space saver is bigger. Biggest possible disparity (you have a puncture when the tyres are brand new) is just 1.57% in rolling diameter. No need to worry.
Re: Tyres - what did yours come with
Mine came with Hankook. Car was manufactured 03/2018.
There were 5 RS4 in the showroom, some had Conti some Hankook.
I was a bit surprised Hankook was oem but so far they perform great.
Altough it is a soft compound, I'll have to wait and see what milage they can do.

I thought the early ones, 19 & 20 came with Conti. The news ones 19 still Conti, 20 Hankook?

I was told that, in the event of a puncture, to make sure the tread depth of all tyres are within 2mm of each other. In terms of difference of circumference that is 0.6%.Markp wrote: ↑Tue Jun 26, 2018 2:20 pmWhen tyres are brand new the space saver is 10mm less in diameter, when tyres are at 3mm it is the same, and at legal min the space saver is bigger. I assume they allowed for that but I still think it is just for use when you have no other option and only for a few miles.
Hopefully I won't get a puncture anyway.

Re: Tyres - what did yours come with
The Evo long term test car (RS5) had Hankooks. They changed the 2 fronts only in 10,400 miles (£449).
I assume they drove it like I do, and, didn't swap front to rear half way through the wear.

Re: Tyres - what did yours come with
Aye but they have to hedge their bets. The space saver is within 2mm of tyres from 5mm tread to legal min. If they made it bigger it would only be within 2mm when tyres brand new. Can’t have it all waysRS4 Owner wrote: ↑Wed Jun 27, 2018 11:23 pmI was told that, in the event of a puncture, to make sure the tread depth of all tyres are within 2mm of each other. Wow that's low milage! On another car I used Michelin pss, those ran around 40k km.

Re: Tyres - what did yours come with
I wouldn't worry about it too much. Pressures can make more of a difference to rolling circumference, and I'd bet that most people here set their pressures with the gauge at the petrol station ?RS4 Owner wrote: ↑Wed Jun 27, 2018 11:23 pmI was told that, in the event of a puncture, to make sure the tread depth of all tyres are within 2mm of each other. If you ever get the chance to use an accurate pressure gauge, you'd be shocked how far out some petrol station air lines, and even home foot pumps are for accuracy
