Hankook!

Picked up my new RS4 earlier this week and a couple of niggles - firstly it has Hankook tyres fitted which i find somewhat disappointing for a vehicle of this calibre - i would have expected a more recognised premium brand e.g. Michelin, Conti, Pirelli. Anyway i've barely had a chance to drive the car since pick up and i guess i might feel more comfortable with them when i've had a proper drive this weekend. If anyone has any alternative tyre recommendations i may well swap out the Hankooks just so that i can be more emotionally comfortable with the car.
Niggle two - i specifically ordered black mirrors and it came with silver - i see that this has happened to a couple of other owners so there's obviously a glitch in the machine somewhere - anyway the dealer has agreed to replace so no big deal but it did slightly take the edge off the reveal
Will post impressions when i've had a proper drive - have had B8 and B7 btw

Lucky swine! Have just been googling tyres and it seems that the Sport Contact 6's come in two versions ... one has 'silent' tech apparently - do you know which version you have?

I have the Pirelli P Zero 275/30ZR20 (RO1) on my HRE's, very smooth ride so far. I've had Pirelli's on my GT-R as well - solid branch imo!

Mine's on Conti's, but I genuinely think the Hankooks on the demo car I had were better tyres.
They're not a crap brand like they used to be and supply loads of OEM sports cars now. I wouldn't worry about it to be honest

I have them in 22’s on my Q7. It’s a mighty big bus and I’ve pushed it into a few situations in the wet and dry and as yet I haven’t felt I’m getting close to breaking point. I reckon I’d roll the thing before the tyres give up traction. I also tested a S4 B9 last year with them on and again I gave that merry hell and it just gripped and gripped. I wouldn’t even worry. Just enjoy the car.

Mine came with Hancooks initially I was a bit disappointed but that soon wore off. On the plus they look much more robust in the wheel protection department.

I've not priced them up, but I bet they're cheaper to replace than the Conti's too, so I'll probably go for the Hankooks when it comes to swapping time

As Graeme says they aren’t as crap as they might have once been - plenty of race series use them
I was under the impression that continental were not a great brand!
