I think this plugs a gap in the range quite nicely.

Gone : 2007 B7 RS4 ( :kissmyrings: )

FFS, probably no chance of a saloon now! Why do Audi think we all want slopey back cars instead of proper saloons?

Coupes, estates and SUVs are the sellers. Saloons seen as old hat by designers today. See Jaguar interview in this week's Autocar for an insight into manufacturers' thinking.

I'm with Mike on this, holed up in the curmudgeon cafe. I never really got the A5 Sporthack, if you're giving it four doors, just give it a boot. All this slopey-backed crap isn't big and it isn't clever.
No matter where you go, there you are.

This is mainly an Audi issue. The competition still produce fast saloons; M3, M5, C63, E63 etc.

Salesman told me it's coming to the UK next year. I don't know how true that is but if it does I think it is going to do well.

Im glad Im not the only one who thinks this,

Almost everyone I mention this to says they like A5 or A7 with this horrendous "slide off down the slope" design ethic, I just think it looks ghastly

Yep - I had one of the first A5 Sportback - 2.0TFSI s-line. Looked great but awful car - 211bhp through front Wheels so that was awful - then it drank oil because of O-Ring issue on that engine (fixed free in Germany - £3K here, glad it was company car!)

It seemed a knee jerk reaction at the time when they thought people would really go for the BMW GT series (which, in my opinion, is not a nice looking car)

looks like a baby RS7. I did fancy the RS5 but need space of in-laws and my dogs (both getting old lol) This might have been a shout, to late now though.

I had a 535d GT a few years ago. Horrible car. Build quality was not usually BMW felt cheap and built in a hurry. They have maybe improved now? Big, slow, heavy beast
BMW 540i
2018 GTR
F90 M5
X3MC
RS3 Saloon
RS7 FL best car I've owned. No faith in turbo oil screen (turbos failing) or sticking oil scraper ring causing missfires.
F10 M5 LCI still no rear grip lol
S7 black Edition Too big and heavy
S3 8V FL DSG 310ps, road noise is a joke
RS3 8P Rubbish
C7 RS6 Fantastic car but missed playing
GTR R35 800bhp, too extreme, crazy fast though
911 Turbo Remapped. Hated it
F10 M5, awesome but no rear grip
RS6 V10 700BHP crazy
Porsche Cayenne Turbo S 600bhp
