No, he meant what he wrote - subjective ;)
Subjective refers to personal perspectives, feelings, or opinions entering the decision making process. Objective refers to the elimination of subjective perspectives and a process that is purely based on hard facts like lap and acceleration times, weight etc.
Apologies to Bam, I missed the irony.
Shortcoming is one word too - but now I am being anal, as opposed to ironic. :beerchug:

PS Sorry, I write for a living.

I write methodologies for litigation categorisation reviews, if I could not discern the difference between 'subjective' or 'objective' coding then I would be laughed out of the room. I am certain what the OP wrote was subjective, I fail to see the irony, however, I do accept your apology least this thread descends into further finicky ruminations.

Blimey, just picked up on this! I will stop posting after my Saturday lunchtime pint and get my 10 year old to proof read. Judging by the quality of spelling and grammar on here you must be kept very busy, especially as you right for a living. :beerchug:

Not many pedants drive a RS6, but those that do are very annoying. :biggrin3:

Serious question here and I'll happily argue either way....

A RS6 or an RS6?

Maybe I'm missing something so would like to hear your thoughts on why it should be A RS6.

I would say naturally you would call it “An RS6” that’s because what we tend to do is skip the “Audi” out. It rolls off the tongue 👅 easier as “An RS6” as opposed to “An Audi RS6” but really if we skip the “Audi” then we really should be saying “A RS6” which then for some stupid reason doesn’t sound right.
Current ride’s
Q7 Floret Silver Black Edition On 22’s (2018)
Renault Clio 172 Cup. (Babe the track pig)

Previous rides
SQ5 Glacier white( 2016 65reg)
RS6 avant C7 Daytona Grey 2015 facelift. The one I waved goodbye to!!
2013: Q7 3.0 tdi s/line plus ibis white (13reg)
2012: S5 cabriolet glacier white (62 reg)
2011: RS4 saloon B7. Avus (57 reg)

Although the R in RS6 is a consonant, it is an acronym so is voiced as a vowel.
So I think using the normal rules of grammar for the indefinite article say, it is "an RS6" but "a Racing Sport 6".
Current : 2018 F5 RS5 (Let's Fire Up the Quattro)
Gone : 2017 M3 CP
Gone : 2007 B7 RS4 ( :kissmyrings: )

I can see both arguments here...but the reason I brought it up is, the guy above was talking grammar and called it "A" RS6... the question is basically around whether or not you base the use on "an" on the presence of a vowel or on the sound of one...and whether it's acceptable to use that when referring to an abbreviation/acronym/initialisation...RS being Renn Sport.

Renn Sport is German and translates into English as Racing Sport. I don't pretend I can speak German so I just use English.

My understanding is that you use an A if the starting sound is a consonent or an An if the starting sound is a vowel.
An ARR ESS Six, starting sound is a vowel.
A Rabbit, starting sound is a consonent.
An Honour, starting sound is a vowel.
A House starting sound is a consonent.
