Ordered one

Well, I have decided to order one. Trading in my C7 RS6 in Sept for the new RS4. I have gone for under the radar spec and comfortable ride so won't be everyone's cup of tea.

Standard 19 wheels
De-badged
Floret silver
Black leather/ grey stitching
Black pack
DRC
Pan roof
Acoustic and privacy glass
Rear camera
Red brakes
Memory seats
Sports exhaust

Still finalising deal but have been offered good price for the 6 (which has been a fab car by the way - hope I don't regret trading "down")

Good times, I think that's a great spec,

Floret and black pack works really well imo.

Very nice - floret looks lovely in the flesh

Not tempted to stick with the black calipers to maintain the stealth?

I like your spec. I too will stick with the 19" if I can't get the CE milled alloys.

I have seen reviews where dynamic steering is slated but Audi continue to develop it.
Did you consider dynamic steering at all?

Congrats!

Don't feel as though you are trading "down", if anything I would say my new RS5 feels like a trade up from the FL RS6, the way it picks up speed and flies through the gears is immense!

The RS6 is a cracking big (and quick) cruiser but the the way the new engine pulls and with the new gearbox it makes the C7 feel dated in my opinion.

It's broadly the same gearbox, all ZF slush....

I have a thing about red brakes πŸ˜‰
Good to hear about ex C7 f/l experience.
Roads around me are shocking and 20s on normal suspension too hard / likely to get damaged by potholes.
DRC and 19s softest option.
The ZF works brilliantly with the extra torque. Much prefer to automated manual which I found neither fish nor fowl once you have got bored with using the paddles. But each to their own.

Not a chance. Can’t get on with it.

Congratulations welcome to the club. When is is due? Mine seems to be stuck in quality control at the moment although from what I have read the online tracker isn't real and I think the car hasn't even been into paint yet!

Doesn't the new car have less torque though?

Quite. And not sure what an automated manual is, aside from R-Tronic for a limited time on R8 ten years back.

driving the B9 and the B8 back to back i really couldn't find fault with the B9 gearbox to me it seemed as quick up and down the gears as the B8
