Saying that I can not work out how the my Audi dest. works once I get into the car.
On my car I think you go to the sat nav menu screen and select online destination or something like that.
Thanks found it by going through Audi connect and not through the obvious nav options. then it becomes an Audi connect contact even if it's a one off destination.

Divisive topic but imho you don't need DRC, car rides really well without it.

Yeah, I couldn't work out what it actually does other wireless charging, as my iPhone doesn't do that (I don't think) it seemed like a waste of money unless it has some other special features ?
Could do with working out how the Audi app connection thing works as that means I can check fuel levels and lock/unlock doors with my phone, plus a lot of other location thingies that I can't currently connect to and don't actually need but quite want :)
That is something I have actually got to work. Sorry if you already have this info...You need the MMI connect app there are so may Audi apps on the App Store as well as the scratch off part on the plastic strip attached to you keys when you got the car. Then log into the myAudi website not the tracker site then you can confirm details from there... It took me a few attempts and there is a limit.

Maybe we should start a new thread with tips and tricks for your new RS4 car/tech
I've had another go at it tonight, and still can't get it to talk to the car beyond putting in destinations on my phone and transferring them to the sat nav in the car
I want to be able to lock/unlock it on my phone, and use the location services and the theft alarm. I guess I'll pop into the dealer next week and get then to talk me through it

It's across Porsche too - it's something to do with the strength of the signal repeater not meeting an Ofcom reg.
so post fix, is the signal repeater going to be stronger or weaker?

I can only think it is too powerful and so will be weaker
Weaker. It’s to do with the strength of transmitter ised being above a regulated standard.

My car arrived at the dealer today. My wife will pick it up next Wednesday as I am working. Will miss the RS6 - it has been a great car - but hoping the smaller, less in-your-face RS4 will prove more useable as a daily driver.

My car's coming up to 1000miles now, and it's either starting to sound better (louder), or I'm starting forget how good the V8 sounded
Either way, I'm very happy with the car so far at 10days in

Great stuff. I think you will get just as much attention in the RS4 but maybe it will start to wear off once there are more about.

I hope you enjoy the car and look forward to hearing your impressions vis a vis the RS6. I'm not sure it's less in yer face though, to me the B9 looks quite aggressive but maybe it depends on spec, the only one I've seen was misano with chrome. My RS6 is daytona with black pack, no badges and it doesn't seem to get too much attention, in fact I've been asked if it's an RS6 on a few occasions.

First impressions?

Plus side:
Superb ride on DRC and 19s on poor surfaces around me. It feels far more nimble than the RS 6. I have sports exhaust and love the sound- eager but not too contrived. Tech is much better (except sound system). In my spec it looks very ordinary which suits me perfectly, and it is going to be great long term daily driver / dog wagon. Already noticeably better on fuel.

Down side:
The car feels, understandably, much lower rent than my 6 - from opening doors and glove box to the quality of sound from the radio (I imagine the RS4 would be what resulted if a C7 RS6 slept with a Golf R). The 6 feels very special, the 4 doesn't, but perhaps I have been spoilt.
Dirty country lanes and black pack don't go well together - my RS6 had carbon pack and the dirt much less noticeable.

I think the B&O in the B9 is just as good as it was in the B8, but it's not going to be a scratch on the £6k-ish upgrade they put in the C7 Rs6 as that was unbelievably good (but then it should be for that sort of cash)
I'm sure the sports exhaust in my B9 is getting louder as I pile the miles on the car, but it might just be where I'm forgetting the sound of my old B8
My B9's really growing on me though, and I'm very impressed with it so far

I only had the Bose in the 6 - and whatever comes standard in the 4.
Just been out in it again and I suspect it is going to prove much more of a driver's car than the 6. My wife loves it.

Weirdly, my wife hates mine. I think it's the Nardo more than the actual car, but I can't get her to drive it yet (which might be a blessing in disguise)
