I am told Alcantara is a cheap leather substitute and doesn't wear well. It is used by the Chinese clone manufacturers. Leather is much better.

I have half alcantara and half leather in my RS6. The alcantara still look likes new but the leather needs some attention and care.
Alcantara on a steering wheel might be different though.

I like the feel of the alcantara on the wheel. Wouldn’t want it on the seats though. Does look good imo and on the doors etc wouldn’t get any wear anyway.

I’ve always got dirty hands and drink coffee/eat chocolate in my car, so alacantara for me would be a nightmare

I had alcantara steering wheel in my M3 CSL, bloody nightmare! The thing started to bobble after a while.

Outrageous that ze Germans are doing it as a premium ££ extra. Even Porsche are doing that.

On the plus side felt much quicker than the B8, turn in sharper. Downside was the lack of character in the engine. Extended warranty on my B8 so keeping it a little while longer

It must just be me but I really don’t like any of the 20” wheels. Considering the milled ones there are supposedly premium ones they remind me of something from BK knights in the back of max power in the 90s. V spokes and rotors really worked and the rs6 wheels all look great. B9 Rs4/5 really not.

of the Audi wheels, I think the milled wheels are the best.
Shame you can't spec them on base cars.

The 19” style in 20” to fill the arches would be my preference. When I ‘built’ one to scope an order last week I ended up selecting 19”s. The fact I had to stop and think i’d probably end up having to justify my choice on here for ‘poverty spec’ made me realise that it’s me that’s the idiot not Audi for offering these options.

Best wheels ever: 19” chromed on my e46 m3 In 2006. Beautifully dished and the 18s looked like a spider’s fanny in comparison. Seem to remember they didnt cost 4% of the cars value to upgrade either

EU or German spec cars, can't get it in the UK for actual orders.
