I’ve driven a few on track - they aren’t great there either although to be fair I don’t think an RS4 would be either.
You know what's great on a track? a Catherham...because it's built for it. when I had the B8, it never crossed my mind to use it on a track - partly as it was a stipulation on the finance and partly as I like to drive other people's cars on track, not my own...best fun I have had on a track was my mate's beater corsa with a wee 2.0 pushing 150hp...felt like a king in that thing...but man it was slow! haha

Think we all want roughly the same out of these cars...comfy when we need it, fast when we want it...and not dying in a fireball when we eff it up!
Or a Lotus (check sig below!)

One of the days i was on at silverstone once an Rs5 went hard in to the pit wall - obviously he thought 4 whee drive would save him!
Ha! Just add lightness!

Yeah, going fast in a straight line isn’t too difficult. Corners is where it gets tricky!

I can almost predict what they say about the DRC vs standard suspension :)
The thing that interests me the most about the DRC is the ability to have it in full comfort mode, as that's what I do 99% of my driving in.
When I drove a non DRC car earlier this week, it was way harder than the DRC car in comfort.
I think Merc are genuinely the only car in the segment that have really nailed the happy medium between a car that rolls along comfortably but still is taught enough to be decent when you're pushing on.
The BMW M4 suspension is bloody awful for anything other than when you're nailing it, but then it's amazing
And like lots of testers they haven’t commented on auto setting twixt comfort and sport - where the tech adjust to suit driving conditions. It is the sweet spot on the 6.

I never even knew there was an inbetween. I’d just assumed it was an open/close valve in the damper

Auto basically defaults to comfort but can switch instaneously to firm, and back again, as required. Like the Porsche PASM system. Resulting ride is twixt the two. Works surprisingly well.

I'll have a try of that tomorrow and see how it feels, cheers

From Audi

Sensors measure the movements of all four wheels plus lateral and longitudinal acceleration. The damper characteristic is then adjusted accordingly to the road surface conditions and driving situation. The result is enhanced driving dynamics with even more comfort.

The variable suspension works with newly developed CDC dampers
(CDC = continuous damping control) with electromagnetically actuated valves in their pistons. They allow hydraulic fluid to flow faster or more slowly as required. A new actuation concept makes them very energy efficient. The central chassis control unit processes all sensor signals within milliseconds and controls each damper individually. Together with the wide range of the damper valves, this ensures a wide spectrum between a soft ride and firm handling

I did start watching the review by the girl, but switched off as soon as I saw she was dressed like something out of N-Dubz :)
N-dubz

In fairness, she is alright, others might disagree but give it a go :thumb:
Just got around to watching this review from the girl.
Asides from the fact that she calls herself Queen B and says '"Audi are Killin' it" a few times, I actually quite like her style
Watched a couple of her other videos and she comes across pretty well, and just to maintain my general level of sexism, i think I 'probably would' :)

Unfortunately, to save anyone watching to the end in hope, it doesn't end with the pair of them in the back trying out the 'size' :bigblink: :assflash:

Is the RS4 now a 'mid-life' crisis car?

As a 25yr old female, thinks the RS4 is a cool bucket list car, which she'd spank more than she really ought.
