The pattern is pretty clear to anyone who follows these things and it's not exclusive to Audi, so it's hardly fair to single them out though they have got it down to a fine art. Some obvious features are options to start with, in a while they will be either put into packs or become standard, the final phase is to throw some of the more desirable options onto the car as standard, but by this time they've long broken even and it's profit all the way. I bought an RS6 new last autumn and when I specced a standard car with the things I like (bigger alloys/privacy/Matrix lights etc) it was so close to the PE in price terms that it was a no brainer, especially after the percentage discount was applied.

We do have a choice though, we don't have to drive about in lovely performance saloons and estates and get our pants pulled down, we could all go sensible, watch the pennies and forego some of the options that we convince ourselves are 'must haves'.

I found out today that last Friday Audi UK communicated to dealers about new 'deposit contribution' offers specifically on the S3, S4, RS3, RS4, RS5 and SQ7.

The specific RS4 figures have not been given to dealers yet, but the RS5 now has over £11k of 'discount available, made up of the following:
AUK deposit contribution: £2500
Centre deposit contribution: £8800

I'd expect RS4 discounts to follow...
Any idea on timescale KMP? For the RS3 + RS5 in particular? Audi often have used car events running in March, to get shot of all the pxs that come in, possibly they will introduce these updated finance offers in March after the reg change?

My understanding is these 'offers' are live as of now. I looked at the RS3 offer.

Do you have any links? Whether it be Audi.co.uk or specific dealer franchises? Someone I met a few years back is looking at ordering an RS3, I spoke to them yesterday, and they in turn spoke to their dealer who denied all knowledge

Sorry to thread bump - am looking for a stock unregistered RS5 at the moment and wondering what kid of discounts are achievable?

If the cars have to be registered by 30th August given summer holidays etc now I would have thought they would be fairly desperate to get rid of stock.

Broadspeed is showing around 9k for a NEW order, and some of the other forums have stated up to nearly 20%. (Tbh it irritates me a bit as they are shafting the early owners). Am personally a terrible negotiator so just wanted to get a steer. Maybe the angle is what kind of a discount would a pre-reg command in q4 2018, and go from there?

Thanks!!

Have a look on CarWow to get a “base” price ? They also have an “available now” section.

9k on an RS4 I thought wow but see its as RS5 you are looking at. Yeah very annoying. All big dealers seem to prey on the unsuspecting, not fair in my book.

you don't have to negotiate. Print off quotes from braodspeed and carwow dealers will match or beat the deal. I do it all the time. You can sometimes push for a bit more. if you are not good face to face deal on email. I work away from home so most of my dealing is through email
BMW 540i
2018 GTR
F90 M5
X3MC
RS3 Saloon
RS7 FL best car I've owned. No faith in turbo oil screen (turbos failing) or sticking oil scraper ring causing missfires.
F10 M5 LCI still no rear grip lol
S7 black Edition Too big and heavy
S3 8V FL DSG 310ps, road noise is a joke
RS3 8P Rubbish
C7 RS6 Fantastic car but missed playing
GTR R35 800bhp, too extreme, crazy fast though
911 Turbo Remapped. Hated it
F10 M5, awesome but no rear grip
RS6 V10 700BHP crazy
Porsche Cayenne Turbo S 600bhp

I think the comparison definitely provides a ceiling value - ie: I would prefer a new order to my exact spec with 9k off post wltp than one ex stock on an older plate pre wltp and not to my spec. I suppose it's how much of a discount (if any) that entails.

Maybe the way to go is just order a new car!

As said before the RS5 is a very different purchase. Not selling.

You're aware a factory order will be at least 6 months (or longer than usual at least).

PS your username. B9 is the model type of the RS4, the RS5 is F5 according to Audi.
Current : 2018 F5 RS5 (Let's Fire Up the Quattro)
Gone : 2017 M3 CP
Gone : 2007 B7 RS4 ( :kissmyrings: )

Ah - that's going to confuse for many years! Should have been F5!!

Lets see what the deliveries are like - I'm not on a deadline, so will only want to buy ex stock if it's a proper deal!

As mentioned Carwow have the available now cars, which are around a 10% saving, however clearly spec is chosen for you and there are not that many cars. I managed to secure a 17% discount on mine, brand new factory order, so those that got 20% - big kudos, I very much doubt they were fresh factory orders.. I was also under the impression that dealers have limited slots for RS cars, not sure how true that is.. Your best bet is a dealer demo car arriving from Germany, however that will have very high spec..
