Today I had a chat with a guy at broad speed about a new car, and I mentioned that as the B9 wasn't due for a while, I'd be looking at something else next to fill the gap before the B9 RS4 arrives in a few years time
He said that it was coming later this year with the release of the regular B9 shape with a V6 Turbo engine, and that orders would open in July/August with deliveries late 15/early 16. He said his source was Audi Germany
True or not, what do people reckon ?

With start of sales at end of year.

RS 4 will not start immediately

That sounds a much more likely story, but thought I'd put it out there incase anyone else had heard differently
I know Audi like to keep regular model cycles, but like the occasional curve ball too

As I say, it was an email I was shown on the salesmans PC....I don't think it is unreasonable to presume that Audi may be changing their policy on launch dates for the S & RS cars.

I was told b9 rs4 this year too.

Might want to holdfire from a launch order as it will be facelifted within a quarter.

Give me a break. Even if they say they will do something, actually having that happen, let alone delivering customer cars, completely different matter!

The key thing for me is that there have been no mules spotted 'performance testing'. The B8 mule was spied a whole year before the launch, and for all other RS models a mule of some sort has been seen, so if the RS was due then I think we would we have seen one, especially as it's going to have a new engine.

The regular B9 has been seen without camouflage and it's been confirmed by Dr. Hackenberg that it's going to be shown officially at Frankfurt. No word on the RS though.

I think we'll see the B9 RS4 late next year, after the B9 is established and they've ironed out any problems which would blight the image/success of their core RS halo car.

As I said though, happy to be proved wrong.

The new TT has just hit the road, and we've not seen a TTRS yet. The RS3 is now here, but three years into the A3 cycle
Plus Audi development guys will be hard at work on things like the Q2 and Q8 that are new models to the line up
Like KMpowell say's, I'm happy to be proved wrong, but I just don't see it appearing straight away, but you never know

Broadspeed guy was adamant, but then what would he know, realistically ? No more than us
I think he was just telling me that an Rs6 isn't right for me just yet

With hundreds of B8s still unsold in the network, I doubt they'd get the rumour mill going. One minute we slag off the Audi salesman for not knowing much about the car to believing him on an early launch date of the B9. We are so impatient.....I blame Apple as the cause of that.

Pink Ladys or Braeburns? I've never really had an issue with Apples, except Golden Delicious, they should be reprimanded under the sale of goods act in my opinion. I don't think there's anything golden or delicious about them what so ever. But that doesn't affect the sales of RS4's, does it?
