Really? Other than the front wheel being so far in I really like it.

Yeah really don't like the design, offset, stance and red calipers. I think this B9 is probably the most wheel sensitive RS to date.

Have you seen the ABT RS5-R wheels, they'd look better IMHO.

Yeah, that looks it’s going to be barry’d up and down Southend sea front.

Front bumper is gopping. The splitter reminds me of this.

The green one? Yes, I'm not normally a fan of the Abt body kits but thought it was a big improvement over the standard car.

Drove one today (my current car is a C7 RS6) at Audi Tetbury. Quick and interesting engine note (it had sports exhaust) - a lovely six pot wail, rather than the hammer / rumble of a V8. Didn't really test the handling much on busy road, but ride was much better than B8 (test car had DRC) and helm nice, albeit a bit Audi "removed". Fit and finish as to be expected. I think tech is messy, couldn't work it out without help which is a bad sign - buttons all over the place. Displays good though. It has spacesaver too instead of crap gunk and compressor.

Looks meatier in the flesh than in photos, but subtler than 6. Don't like 20 inch wheels though - too fussy, and 30 profile too low on 275 tyre on roads around me.
Not convinced enough to place a order so far.

Finally got in to see the Edinburgh Audi car today, pics attached (hopefully)

Another Nardo Grey. You pays your money and takes your choice. This is easily my least favourite colour EVER. Quite orange-peely under the showroom lights

There is a demo car, black carbon and plan to take it out at the weekend

I had assumed the carbon edition had all the mean looking black stuff but I see from the Ediburgh car that the front of a standard edition with the black styling pack (£550) is meaner than a carbon edition which has a silver radiator surround and roof rails and probably more.

I'm going off the carbon edition now I know it can't be spec'd in black.
All based on how it looks in the configurator.

Interesting you say that. Audi City London have a Navarra blue car in their flagship showroom. Bearing in mind this is their Halo showroom which is supposed to demonstrate the very best, the Navarra car has horrendous orange peel, particularly across the part of the doors which meet the bottom of the side windows. I was really shocked.

The artificial lights really highlighted how bad it was. I moved around the car, and pretty much every panel had orange peel. Not good enough on a car which was specced to £75kOTR.

Same. I didn’t look carefully but the top of the doors below the windows was where I noticed it. Might be correctable but the flat grey didn’t do it any favours

I picked up Audi Swindon's demo car this morning, and I have it for a few days whilst mine's in getting the DRC fixed
I've only done about 50 miles in it so far, but initial impressions are that it's bloody good.
Even with the sports exhaust that the demo has, it doesn't sound as loud as my B8 with the Sports exhaust, but it's a nice noise.
It certainly a lot faster than the B8 too, and there's no need to be hunting down 3 gears when you need to overtake as the torque is available nice and low with the FI engine.
Seems to have a more neutral balance than the B8 too, and is less prone to understeering straight on. after the sharp initial turn in like the B7 and B8 did.
This car has the Dymanic suspension upgrade, but I'd be interested to hear how the ride is on the standard suspension set up if anyone tries one ?

So far so good, and I think if it continues to grow on me like it has currently, I'll be placing my order this week when I drop it back.
I was set on a Carbon edition, but found out today that you can't delete the silver details on it, so I'll be going for Non carbon edition with black styling pack and a few options to bring the car more inline with that spec.

interesting about the carbon edition as i like those alloys but dont like the alloy trim
will have to spec up one see what the damage is
really struggling to not order too early
like you say seem more eager to get you to licence e loosing speeds (not that the B8 is any slouch) and sharper on the turn but you dont have a V8 lump trying to pull you into the ditch

If it is like the Rs5 I had for a few days the higher torque at lower speeds makes the car far more adjustable on the throttle than the B8 is, if not a bit scruffy in application

It was a couple of months back I drove a new RS5, but the RS4 seems pretty much a little better in every way (other than noise, as the Rs5 seemed louder). It's odd, as I was expecting them to be very similar like they were with the B8
