Firstly the cheeky fuckers have made the previously standard TPMS an option at £250!...
I thought all new cars had to come with one now....?
They do so maybe it is the more advanced ones like Porsche which show actual pressures per wheel as opposed to just a warning to say you have puncture.
Maybe there is a free version using the ABS sensor like the RS3 does but there is a £250 option for the proper sensors with actual pressures and temperautres.

I thought TPMS was now a standard requirement, ergo, the must be a free version.
No matter where you go, there you are.

The crease line running along car at top of arches hints to the arches on the B8 RS4 but not as defined, should of increased that now looks tame?

Wheels don't do it for me - don't have the 'beefy' look that you'd expect of RS wheels. They would look ok on an A5....

Weirdly, the £250 option has now been removed from the configurator!

But, it is listed in the downloadable brochure:
Tyre pressure monitoring display - Tyre pressure monitoring system monitors the set air pressure and temperature of the tyres during driving. Air pressures and temperatures of the individual tyres can be displayed in the Audi virtual cockpit. 7K3 £250.

to further complicate things, in the brochure there's no mention of anything being standard, BUT on the website it lists "Tyre pressure warning light" as standard.

So it's the usual Audi <beep> up when it comes to knowing what goes on a car. I thought they might have learnt a lesson after the whole TTRS fiasco (that is STILL going on!), clearly not.

It depends on which configurator your on. The mobile website and configurator have the TPM but the main website doesn't. The normal TPM is standard and you can upgrade to the one that shows pressures and temps for £250.

Hill hold assist is standard but shows as part of the sound and comfort pack on the configurator. In the brochure it is shown as standard and no mention in the sound and comfort pack.

Also the auto dimming folding mirrors are showing on the configurator as a £325 option (plus £200 for memory seats) but in the brochure they are shown as £125 option (plus £200 for memory seats)

The final :piss: is that in the S/Line or S5 you can have a light & vision pack for £750 to include Matrix LED headlights, Virtual Cockpit and Extended LED Interior light pack. Given that the RS5 has already got the Virtual Cockpit as standard they are charging £850 for the Matrix LED headlights and another £100 for the Extended LED Interior light pack.

So agreed, they have no idea :audibash:

A guy at work has just got a new s5 and after seeing pictures of it and the rs5 online, I thought it might be one of those 'looks better in the flesh' cars, like the new disco. Unfortunately it really doesn't at all. I'm not sure what it is about them, possibly the bonnet and wheels, but I don't look at them and think 'yep, nice car' like I did with the old rs5. The first time I saw a picture of the b8 on a magazine cover, I knew it would be my next car and it looks just as good in the flesh!

looks like they've softened the looks. To me the RS has always been about aggressive muscular arches and a V8 (Yes I know the original wasn't but since I started owning RS's which was 2007) but this thing looks like they've just not bothered. Doesn't bode well for the RS4. I'm sure it will look much better in the flesh but I can t see much evidence of flared arches!

To be fair I don't think the old RS5 was very muscular either. I struggled to tell the difference between an A5 and RS5 at times. The fog light grilles looked like S5 rather than RS5 too. And although the RS4 shared the box arches I think they were more aggressive and made the RS4 stand out from A4 even from far away. Hopefully, this will be true this time and the new RS4 will be more muscular than this effort here.
And the wheels are pony. No way would I pay 2k for that 20" option if that's what they look like; I'd either get an aftermarket set or something like my 20" RS6 alloys if they fit.

So I sit here grinning as the value of an RS4 B8 may just improve....or at least hold very well?
