Re: Brochure and options prices
It will be interesting to compare the New Zealand / Australia market brochure when it comes out (which it should do very soon). Typically here we pay a higher standard car price, but get a lot of the things that are options in the UK market thrown in as standard. I would expect to see sports suspension, DSC, sports exhaust and rear camera as standard in this market, for example.

Re: Brochure and options prices
The telling thing for me is that to get a B9 to the same level of spec as my old B8, I have to pretty much double the amount I spend on options...
Note: on the app costs exclud OTR costs
Further Note: yes I am sad enough to have kept my B8 configuration which I went on to buy.

Re: Brochure and options prices
Given the lack of posting I take it not many are looking to upgrade or get a B9 RS4?
Even though pricing is steep I think there will be quite abit of wiggle room like the rs5 is having to put it inline with BMW and Merc competition

Re: Brochure and options prices
I think most people want a deal when buying a new car now, especially when it's quite a lumpy price,
unless it's something completely different, which the B9 looks wise isn't IMO.
Probably see more movement early next year when hopefully they sort out packs and contributions.
Although, I registered interest with the local dealer before it was announced and he said I'd be the first to know if they heard anything, still not heard from them

Re: Brochure and options prices
Not sure why anyone - for the same price- would choose a new V6 RS4, over a nearly new C7 RS6 performance!

Re: Brochure and options prices
I can think of a few...
1. They don't need that big a car
2. They want decent economy as well as power
3. They want a car built on the latest technology and platform, not platform/tech that is 8 years old
4. They don't have space at home/work for that wide/length a car
5. They don't want/need 600ps
... and so on.
Audi will start huge deposit contributions as soon as the market shows the B9 isn't selling, that will then reverse your statement and make the C7 RS6 nonsensical when you can have very similar 'real-world' ability in a brand new car over something that is 3-5 years old and out of warranty.

Re: Brochure and options prices
Is C7 platform really 8 years old?
Fair enough on the size and economy considerations.
As you say though - there'll need to be some chunky discounts. If there are, then of course that will change the situation.
As it stands though, £75k will buy you a 2017 RS6 PE, or a B9 RS4.
I can't be the only one that'd have the '6 in a straight choice between the two? But then I'm not bothered about having the newest car, economy, or (up to a point) size.
V8 FTW!!

Re: Brochure and options prices
Yup, the C7 was developed mainly in 2010 and launched in January of 2011.
It's crazy how quickly time flies!
