This may be old news but Audi have now updated their website. The S4 is showing as available (with a price) and the TT RS is "arriving Late 2016".
Here's hoping the RS4 is next.
Current : 2018 F5 RS5 (Let's Fire Up the Quattro)
Gone : 2017 M3 CP
Gone : 2007 B7 RS4 ( :kissmyrings: )

Just had a play with the S4 on the configuratior. A few thoughts/observations:

Single clutch tiptronic, not double clutch S-Tronic. So I think we can take it as read that the RS will also have Tiptronic.
Super Sport Seats are standard on the S4, so the RS may get buckets as standard?!? I hope the Magma red leather makes it to the RS4 options list! :smile_smoking:
If I were a betting man I estimate the 4 to have circa 470-480HP so it's far enough away from the 3/TT, but also not too close to the 6.
Pricing doesn't seem too obscene, so with this and the TTRS pricing that was announced yesterday is anything to go by, the 4 will probably be starting at £60k, a 5% increase over the B8.

Here's the engine.....2.9 V6 developed for the panamera. Going to make it's way into a number of cars.

Biggest downside is the sloshomatic.

I'm also slightly embarrassed to report I've driven 6,000 miles in a CVT equipped vehicle in the last 2 months ... so anything that simply has gears gets a tick in my box right now !!

Yeah, it's OK, but it's not up there with the best double clutch units. That's fudging your emissions for you.

Likely 550nm to the B8's 430nm though.

I wonder what it'll map to? +70hp and 50nm could be interesting, wouldn't be far off the C6 RS6's specs, but in a lighter package.

Still can't imagine it sounding anywhere near as good as a B7 or B8 though. Shame.

According to the autocar article about the new Panamera 2.9 V6 "The new engines come mated to a new eight-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox"

And if they're right about the engine getting used in the R8, I'm not sure Audi will try and palm R8 buyers off with a slush box.

They do in the Porsche. They won't in the RS4. R8 is interesting, assume the can use existing S-Tronic maybe with some torque limiting.

B9 RS4 ?

RS cars have had dual clutch transmissions for years now. I'd be hugely surprised if they took a step back to an auto, no matter how good it is.
