B9 RS4 ?

So the 'new' spy shots have got me quite intrigued. On the face of it it appears that it's the same car that was doing the rounds back in October last year (or last week if you're MikeFish). Looking at the back arches, it's clear that the stuck on Allroad arch trims are there and it's a completely unfinished arch. However, the different window trim and different plates confirm it's a different car.

This got me wondering, maybe, just maybe, the previous rumours of the RS6 All-road have actually manifested into an RS4 all-road, surely not?!?

Pretty sure they'd not put those brakes on an all-road. And it's got a roll-cage too. How much off-roading are they planning?

I just hope that the B9 is made in a saloon too and that it as looks as much as a bruiser as the B7.
They have completely nailed the look with the RS6 C7, it looks completely monster. This is what they need to do with the RS4 B9, intimidating

Based on the stance, big brakes and the same style oval exhaust tips this looks like a B9 RS4 contender for sure. Different number plate to the previous mule so likely a different car...

That latest one looks more RS4'ish.

Perhaps Audi are thinking of moving back towards the B7 RS4 wide arch style? Anyway the front bumper is different to the previous, which leads me to think this may now be a powertrain mule.

C5 & B7 had flared arches, then the C6 moved to box arches and the and B8 (both the RS4 and RS5) followed.

C7 and 8V have flared arches so to me, the B9 will almost certainly be back to the flared arch style.

And anyway, I don't see a market for an RS anything allroad. The RSQ3 is more weird than a weird thing from weirdsville, niche markets and all that, but really? I can't see it happening.....

How many A4 Allroads do you see? Very few indeed. Infact the current A6 Allroad appears to have become a dying breed also.....

One of the new A4 allroads is getting a haldex like quattro system. Could it eventually make its way to the rest of the A4 range and rs4?

I said originally they'd not put those brakes on an RS4 as I believe that is an RS4 powertrain underneath a standard A4 body. Hence those brakes are actually on an RS4.

I'd expect it to be quicker than the rs3 or it will be an own goal for Audi. The standard rs3 has been regularly vboxed in the high 3 seconds.

Definitely a 6 cyl. Very annoying that the TTRS test mule is allowed to sound nice and the RS4 isn't I hope it will have at least SOME sound to it when it's complete!

I've been invited to some sort of launch next week, can't go, but it is R8 Spyder plus something else, I'm assuming TTRS, but could possibly be something bigger.
