Litchfield v Abt
Re: Litchfield v Abt
I had an Audi warranty on my first RS4 B7 and it was MRC tuned. I had plenty of warranty claims honoured, even a new engine. No questions asked about mods, but that may have been down to my Audi dealer as I have a great relationship with them.
RS4 B7, Mugello Blue, K&W V3 & HR ARBs, set up by Centre Gravity, Milltek Valved Non Res & cat bypass pipes, BMC air filter, braided hoses, DOT 5.1, Terraclean, MRC Full Carbon Clean, MRC remap 448PS 477NM, 20" S7 alloys with 4mm spacers & Hawke spigots 66.6 > 57.1, AP Racing front discs. Sold Sept 2019. Now rocking an F80 M3
Re: Litchfield v Abt
Yep, I keep saying but I don't think people want to hear the answer. Audi UK DO NOT warranty any ABT upgrades. That is why the ABT RS6 Performance is not available in the UK or any other ABT upgrade. ABT do offer a warranty but it is limited to car less than 2 years old and less than a certain mileage or something like that. However, I'm not even sure that is valid in the UK or not.
Re: Litchfield v Abt

Re: Litchfield v Abt
It’s still a joke though! The fact that you can buy it with warranty elsewhere in the world but not in a certain country purely down to geography is ridiculous!
It’s the same car, made by the same manufacturer, with the same components as is endorsed in Europe - so why not?
They are happy to take our money for everything else (which costs us far more in this country), but not for a performance upgrade like this?!

Re: Litchfield v Abt
I was looking at Brabus tuning my merc
There is a written warranty document that basically underwrites the Merc warranty if something goes wrong and you can do it within 6 months of reg which I’m still in.
I’ve decided against it purely on the basis that it is quick enough on the road and I don’t need it so the lotus is going to get a bigger super charger instead which will count on the track.
