B9 2019 soft limit

Post by Calverian » Mon Aug 26, 2024 6:17 am

Hi all - I just bought a 2019 RS4 in Australia (from dealer).
I am not sure if flashed/tuned as they did not know either and I asked 034 and IE etc who had no record of VIN in their files but that does not mean a huge amount.

I plan to get flashed down the track but if already done will save me some $$. The reason I think may be already is that it has no soft rev limit -ie in Park and Neutral it will rev to 6k+- does this mean it has been tuned?

I have spent ages researching and asked a few FB groups but no one with an untuned ecu 2018 - 2020 b9 RS4 has been able to give a concrete yes or no (and the s4 is different apparently, plus the b9.5 DOES have soft limit, but not sure re b9). And none in my state to compare or ask (I even had to buy car interstate as none available in West Australia and virtually none on the roads here that I have seen)

Thanks!

Watch a Carwow video on YouTube. Reving and checking for soft limiters is part of the format. He has covered pre and post facelift cars.

Yeah I have watched all of Mat's vids- I thought I remembered him doing that but was hoping someone on the forum with the same car as me would do a quick check (or know off of of head) to save having to scroll through them again, good advice tho thanks

Thanks guys- found original owner and have my answer, not flashed so no soft limiter must be standard, thanks for replies
