You should check them yourself - check for uneven wear across one or more tyres which is a result of mis-alignment, either due to worn suspension components or possible accident damage.
If you are replacing the tyres anyway, get a 4-wheel alignment carried out, not just the tracking as it can save you a fortune in tyre bills. My advice is to go to a place with a Hunter wheel alignment machine, as these are considered one of the best in the UK.

Re: HanKook Tyres extreme wear
Thank you everyone for your replies.
It looks like I have got to the bottom of it, not that I am happy with the outcome.
I have managed to do some data collection through my dealer, and a couple of other sources and it would appear that the HanKook Evo2's that are supplied on the RS4 come with 6mm of tread from new and as the car is supplied from the factory (all the cars data was collected on had <70 miles on them. (it would appear the independent dealer I asked to measure was not measuring tyres on a RS4 as per one of my posts)
However, new retail tyres of the same make and model appear to come with more than this, it would seem that the factory may have some sort of deal that is not helpful for new owners, but may mean that the get tyres at a lower price as they have less tread on them, resulting in the buyer needing to replace them sooner.
On the upside, it seems there is nothing wrong with my geo, on the downside, new tyres are going to be needed 25% quicker than if they were retail tyres which feels like a bit of a con to be honest, I am trying to cheer myself up in that is means I can put ps4's on a little quicker
Hope this helps anyone else out, I know there was a post about conti being at 6.5mm, seems Hankook is even worse

Re: HanKook Tyres extreme wear
If your car was suffering that extent of tyre wear, you would be wrestling with it down the road. It's more likely that the car and tyre manufacturers have special deals with supply of tyres with less rubber, that short changes customers on new vehicle purchases.
If you can find a place that uses hub stands to fully set the alignment up, and spends 2-4 hours doing it....try that. Generally motorsport places can do it. Was the best result in my experience. Not cheap but worth it.
How many times over the years I have come out of '4 wheel alignment' centres, still to find the steering wheel off-centre to keep straight? Bish, bash, bosh, in and out attitude of most places. Rant over!
For reference, I live in Kent and use Yaser at East Kent Motorsport.
Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. Highly recommended!
