I think what's more interesting (not shown in your data) is that the F&R track width has been reduced on the B9 along with the Front to Rear axle width ratio. Also the distance between F&R axles has increased along with larger overhangs on the B9. That's compared to the B8, as I don't have data to hand on the B5 or B7.
Looking at that, the B9 might be marginally more playful at the rear, but perhaps with less outright grip overall.
