My misses is sat at the computer and gets an email saying someone from ip adress (its this comp) has just asked for a password reset

Username rs4lover

First up

A) My misses was at the computer, NEVER been on RS246 in her life.
B) My user name was NEVER RS4LOVER
C) I havent been on the stie for AGES.

What the hell is going on ?

maybe someone has requested a password reset as they forgot theirs, and theirs may be similar to yours also,

No, my user name WAS johninspin , when she got this email i went through the steps and loged in . IT WAS MY OLD ACOUNT BUT A NEW USER NAME. Knowone would have a email close to mine.

This morning when we have come into work we have got the same password reset email.

I sent emails to the contact us section twice yesterday and have had NO Reply.

Its the fact its saying MY IP address.

DO I GO TO THE POLICE ? RS246 ARE NOT REPLTING TO ME !!!!

There are 2 accounts registered on this site using your email domain name; those accounts are "johninspain" and "rs4lover". Both users have posted from IP address in Spain.

If you received an email stating that someone at your IP requested a password reset, then I'm afraid someone at your IP requested a password reset.

I am telling you now that my acounts were, johninspain and johninspain1

The office was closed and power turned off last night, only i have the keys and i got another password reset email when i switched on this morning.

Power is swiched off at the mains EVERY night.

Also why would i be asking you if I had done it ?

There are NO posts other than the ones i have done on this username !!!!!

Can you please contact me proply to try and get to the bottom of this.

Also the second one (that i got this morning) is from a different IP adress the the one yesterday.

Id be interested to know when was the FIRST post from RS4LOVER and i bet you can see if the user name has been changed !

1. The second one you got was probably Rick RS4 doing a test. I have asked you for the emails to verify.
2. It appears you have 3 accounts associated to you johninspain, johninspain2 and rs4lover.
3. Users are not able to change usernames, only I can and it involves directly modifying the backend database.
4. If you want to see the posts by each user, then here are the links:

So looking at the posts that account RS$LOVER has made, it seams there are none other than the ones i have made asking about it. How long has this since when has rs4lover been active ?

Unfortunatly i had to sell the RS4 as there was NO HELPfrom Audi out here.

The final straw was when it went for a service and they were ADIMENT there was no such car as an rs4 only a S4.

Im in a Range Rover and a CLK BLACK now
