Problems when accessing Private Messaging

Probably only happens to me 
but whenever I enter Private Messaging (whether view in a different tab/window or accessing via the same tab/window) when I return from it back to the forums, all of my UNREAD forums/posts have automatically been marked as READ!
Really annoying as I then never know what I've still to read...
