Hi guys was just wondering if it's just me who is having problems with getting on this site? I would say that as much as 50% of the time I try and log on I can't. Don't think it's anything i'm doing.... any ideas?
cheers
Jim

I must admit I'm getting fed up with it, it's almost a lottery if I get on or not, when I don't on it's because I get the PostNuke thingy which I guess must be something to do with the server or something. Whatever it is it's bloody annoying.
I attempted to post a long answer to a post tonight, went to submit it and got the PostNuke thing again, I tried to press the back button to copy the text into a text editor just to save it but I couldn't even do that.

I do wonder if it is being caused by invalid SQL statements (handling of invalid chars, db deadlocks etc). Once the (my)SQL server is down it stays down till a reboot it seems. If the page stops responding it's probably cuz the server is rebooting - the server is unreachable and IE will wait for it's default timeout before telling us it isn't there. Is it a software or hardware firewall? What do the server/sql/firewall logs say? Trace SQL and look for lock escallations and deadlocks.
Don't know if it helps, but that's where I would start looking to fix it.

Just to add to the picture I have the same problems as well, post nuke message, etc, probably 20% of the time.
