Firewall went into defensive mode. Suspect some funny goings on......

A syslog (system log) is normally a report of syslog (a protocol) messages sent by a network element to a syslog server - tells you what has been going on in the element ..... I don't know much about f/w's (firewalls) though so not sure if a f/w sends syslog messages ..... ask jeffw; he's a f/w dude.
