Moderators and the powers they have.

I have seen some recent threads where the information was heated but none the less relavent, however the thread was stopped by a moderator.

Can I just ask why, in certain instances that this happens, the moderator in question is having a hard time, he just wanted to take his ball and go home.

We don't have that option to call it a day when the going gets uncomfortable, only the moderators and I feel that this is being abused.

Maybe this should be done by agreement of 2 or more and not just because 1 person spits their dummy out.

Just a thought.

If it was just informative, then it would be worth keeping the thread open. Don't want any bulls in this china shop.

That's up to the moderator. If anyone has an issue with someone from the crew, then PM me. However, the PM will be posted in the Crew section and discussed openly.

All moderators are wise enough to think and act on their own.

The moderators are hand picked, and therefore we will always back a moderators actions until we have good reason to do otherwise.

Sometimes the BULLS are the persons who may be more knowledgable than the sheep that enter the threads and dismiss alot of the information offered as inconsistant and incorrect, these contributors should be able to have their say, albeit contraversial or not.

If you believe the last thread about DMS was not bias to the last then we must disagree, this was blatently ended it as "he had enough". Maybe if he hadn't have been on the defensive of the tuner, more imparsial to the subject of the thread then this wouldn't have happened? As a q. did any other moderator complain? In fact if anyone should complain it would have been the member who was rudely refered to as being a "doubter" amongst other things.

You and I know that but do some others here? You can't always take your ball home because others aren't playing your game.

All moderators are wise enough to think and act on their own. Agreed and I know of 1 moderator who gets massive respect He doesn't sing and dance to anyo1 company's tune, excuse the pun, even though he spends alot of time and money with that company. That is what I understood a moderator to be, polite, impartial and assisting.

The moderators are hand picked, and therefore we will always back a moderators actions until we have good reason to do otherwise.
Whilst I really appreciate that this is a private forum and I am a guest, a great forum at that, it sometimes just grinds at how there are others who have total disregard for other members.

What makes me laugh more than anything is that when face to face we all get along, beers and weekends at the track but here, why do we get so aggressive? After all its about the passion, isn't it?

Just 1 other thing to ask, has or does any other member or moderator have access to your inbox, and if so is this done?

In fact end this thread too.

After seeing some recent comments I can see why it just isn't worth the time and effort worrying about why, if and but.

Cheers

Private messages can only be read by me, and it is a pain in the backside to do it. It isn't something I do willingly, and is only used in cases that require it.

Never really worked out how you can spoil yourself. But if you are happy with your view, well done. My reputation as far as you are concerned is of no iterest to man nor beast, and you are welcome to carry on with your vain attempt to annoy me and the others who have worked hard to build a site that is interesting and informative, as with all things of no value, they eventually drift away or are thrown out.
As already explained to you at a level even you can understand, you can complain, spit your dummy and generally be as difficult and rude as you like, the end story is......... no-one is listening to you, your response to Phil proves that you are incapable of even some level of civil response, take your 14 supporters and go play elsewhere if you dont like what happens here, no tears will be shed...
