Forum acronyms

Post by CliveH » Thu Oct 26, 2006 9:29 am

Following some questions from a new member, time for a new thread.

If this has been done before, please post a link.

These are the ones that often come up (in no particular order) :-

IMO - In My Opinion

IMHO - In My Humble Opinion, although there is divided opinion on whether the H stands for humble or honest...

ARB - anti-roll bar

DV - diverter valve

TBB - throttle body boot

DTS - drive train stabiliser

AFAIK - as far as I know

IIRC - if I remember correctly

WOT - wide open throttle

HTH - happy to help (well that's how I use it, but maybe also "hope this helps"?)

BMW - apparently another German car manufacturer

I'm sure we all know what LOL, PMSL, LMFAO, and WTF mean...

Please add to the list.
Clive
