Suggestion: Events Threads

Hi,
Just a suggestion about the Trackdays and Meets section.
Well first a question; Is there such thing as an officiall, staff organised RS246 meet, or are they all regional meets organised by the members? Has there ever been a national "big one" if you like? Do you have club stands at other National Audi Events?
Now to the suggestions.
When people start a Meet or GTG (Get ToGether) thread, it more often than not starts as an idea or a water test, then dates get set and off it goes.
1. The suggestion is that if staff see (or get notified by the thread starter/organiser) that a date and venue is set, that the title of the thread is changed from whatever it started as to include the date and venue.
2. What I have seen work previously is to make all outstanding event threads, with FIRM dates and venues to be made sticky.
Once the event is over, thread un-stuck.
Both suggestions combined it just means people can see what is coming up and should help meet attendance and avoid people missing events.
A little more work for the admins, we can't expect you to read all threads every day, so the system would probably rely on us notifying you.
What do you think?
Graham
