MVP,S most valuable poster

Post by s4woody » Fri Apr 14, 2006 8:51 pm

i was flicking around from forum to forum and i came across a competition for an MVP. now not knowing what that was i took a look.
basically its to try and stop post whoring..you write a post about a subject to do with our, your make of car and the most informative, precise and understandable post gets a prize..
now the person writing the post has to be nominated by another forum members or the mods can chose,he/she could even have a link to a previous post,it could run over a few weeks then the poster can be picked out.. maybe the mods could give a sticker or cap as a prize..just a thought..

We didn't used to need this, all the post were informative.... Volume = noise.

Some people don't care about value, they just like the sound of their own voice and post whatever comes into their mind.

We are discussing steps to try to minimise the 'noise' and increase 'quality', but I fear it's a losing battle.
