Dippy has clarified where threads should be posted here : http://www.rs246.com/index.php?name=PNp ... highlight=
which also produced some interesting exchange of views. Dare I suggest that this sticky is not in the most appropriate place as it is not only B5 S4 owners (or contributors) who sometimes originate a thread in the wrong place...?
Another issue, which I believe requires some clarification, is so-called "post hijacking".
Some topics raise new questions and provoke other ideas and exchange of information and views. For example "Pics of Imola S4s" is now a busy discussion about RS007 MTM style wheels and the relative merits of wheel weights.
Personally, I don't think this is a bad thing as the very existence of such a forum is to discuss topics about our cars which in turn provokes other ideas, issues, exchange of information, views, etc. I believe that this should be allowed to be done in a way which is conducive to freedom of speech and expression. Clearly, there are limits to this and that's what the administrators and moderators are here for (thanks guys
I do not however think that we should be jumped on for taking a thread upon a natural course of discussion emerging from the issues in hand (some Crew I think will disagree).
The problem I can appreciate is that when browsing or searching the forum , it becomes difficult to find information about wheels, for example, if some of it is "hidden" in "Pics of Imola S4s"!
Clarification and views appreciated.
