Black mark scheme or good behaviour points

Post by SimonS4MTM » Thu Jun 23, 2005 12:47 pm

There are a few people here that seem to thrive on arguments, pi##ing people off and generally being rude. No one likes to see this behaviour and it certainly does not make new members feel welcome.

How about a black marks scheme to shame the people involved. Any thoughts or a bad idea.

RS246 has a community that has managed to keep itself 'clean' by not entertaining such individuals. We would rather not have a points scheme as it could end up being abused by afore mentioned individuals.

Please post some links in here to the threads in question (Or PM me) and we will deal with it accordingly.

Hope this is OK.

Good point Phil, i have to aggree that it could be seen as a competition for some.

I have not been subject to what i have mentioned so do not feel the need to copy you the link, but i will do in the future if the need arrises.

Many thanks

I think we manage pretty well (considering it's a public forum after all) - compared to other, shall I say less-mature forums I think we have a reasonable balance.

It's also worth pointing out that I think some of the 'banter' that is visible is because the people involved actually know each other and are just doing what brits do in real life...

It's very rare to see real nasty stuff going on I think (unless I'm missing something major here!)..
