Is 'S6plus' what some people refer to as the UrS6? i.e 2.2 litre 5 cylinder quattro as per UrS4 and S2.

S6+ is a UrS6 with 4.2 V8 (based on same 100/200 C4 platform as the original S6)

OK. I've thought long and hard about this and think that the S6 forum is quiet enough to have room for some S6+ owners to move in and make some more noise about the S6+ !! [img]images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

Might be some confusion here ... S6 Plus was "tuned" by GmbH; RS4 was technically manufactured by GmbH (their first).

It´s not just a tuned car by quattro gmbh car. And it´s a shame that so called "rs or s car lovers" don´t know this mother of the rs6...
unfortunately thwe forum of www.rs6.com is due to hackers off line, because there I also pointed it out...with result that more s6plus owners came around...
I´m really pleased with the space you give to me...But I´m sure I can make a s6plus part intersting for all the s/rs car lovers....
Because nowhere on this world there is a subject on a forum on this car....

I understood the RS4 (and RS6?) was assembled by Quattro Gmbh, with an engine tuned by Cosworth UK, on a base build in the Audi plant in Neckarlsum, plus K04 turbos from KKK, injection and ABS from Bosch, seats from Recaro, soundsystem from Bose and the hundreds of components/parts manufactured by the likes of Valeo/Philips & Co.

So I'm fine with the technicalities behind "tuned", "build", "manufactured" or "assembled" by...

Official press releases from Audi/GmbH state the RS4 is the first "official" product from the tuning arm (GmbH) ... so maybe it's semantics. My understanding is GmbH helped Audi modify the S6 Plus, but the car is not a product of GmbH ... as the RS4 and RS6 are.

Eh ... who cares, it's an awesome car for sure! Though we never official got it in the US, there are a few imports here. [img]images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

I think IMHO we could rename the S6 forum to S6/S6 plus

If the information an chat in there is all about S6 plus then have a seperate forum, any other thoughts

Also i dint realise the S4 could have the optional 4.2 V8, or is that referring to the new model?
