General Cars discussion forum

Post by Dippy » Thu May 29, 2003 9:21 am

We could do with a forum for general car discussions/questions which are not specific to any model, and not related to tuning/mods either.

H&R coilovers, AWE DTS, Porsche front brakes, Short-shifter, 18" RS4 replicas

Dave, why don't you use the Other Models forum?

Yeah I was thinking the same..... An 'Audi General' forum.

Anyone against this? Or should we change the title of 'Other Models' to 'Cars General' or something....?

'cos that wouldn't be right either. I'm mainly thinking of situations where someone has a problem/issue with their car and wants to get a wide audience for an answer. If the question is not model-specific, for example if it refers to windscreen wipers, use of antifreeze, oil etc, then it would not be right to use a specific S-forum.

Other models literally means any model which does not have its own forum, so it is still needed.

In theory a 'general' forum would be more used than any of the other forums.

OK, so I have renamed the 'Other Models' to 'General Car Chat'. We'll see how it goes with that....
