Post by Shoppinit » Mon Sep 13, 2021 10:49 am

I just get a

"This page isn’t working right now

forum.rs246.com can't currently handle this request.

HTTP ERROR 500"

Tried with a couple of browsers.

Works for me. What word are you searching for? Can you provide the URL of the page where you get a 500 Error please?

Crank position sensor

In RS6 C5 forum from advanced search.

search.php?keywords=Crank+position+sens ... mit=Search

Just did this search on my iPhone. Same problem but no error message. Just blank screen. Did that on Firefox, too.

I did some testing yesterday and it seems that the problem is being caused by &fid%5B%5D=2 in the URL. Now I need to figure out why it only seems to affect the RS6 forum....

RS4 forum with more posts works fine search.php?keywords=Crank+position+sens ... mit=Search

Board wide search work fine too search.php?keywords=Crank+position+sens ... mit=Search

Weird.

Also, if I remove any one of the search terms from the URL then the search succeeds, even with &fid%5B%5D=2

I fixed it but I'm not sure why it worked everywhere else except the RS6 forum. Anyway, the fix was to increase the PHP timeout from 30 seconds to 60 seconds (Probably not interesting but putting it here in case I need to fix it again someday).

Lol. Yeah, that could be it.

Why was it timing out? Is the RS6 forum the biggest?

B7 RS4 forum seems to be the one with the most topics and posts but that worked fine...
