Please could I ask that you report spam. Don't reply to it as it makes the clean up a lot harder.

How would I report this? I have a message that appears suspect.

How about: if a post is reported and the user has less than x posts and/or less than y days since signing up then the post is immediately (automatically) deleted. Saves you having to do it.

If the user is "verified" then the post can't be deleted except by admin, same as now.

That'd be tricky, in a way I could delete the sale advert that looks "suspicious" from yesterday.
Some of the spam has been impressive, normally the stuff posted In the S8 forum, it's worded like a genuine post but has a dodgy link attached in the signature.

Just had a look at the S8 forum and I see what you mean. I wonder if it's AI spam? Feels that way a bit. Something very AI about it. Thinking about it, it would be fairly trivial to get an AI to come up with a plausibly human sounding post that is on-topic.

Either that or they've resorted to getting humans to spam forums.

There have been about 5 in the last few weeks just on the Ronin thread. They do seem to have been targeting really old threads, no idea how they do it.

I've done pretty much everything I can to try to stop the spam in an automated way but they still get through. I've blocked email domains, I've looked at blocking IP ranges but that wasn't reliable enough, I've deleted hundreds of accounts and added reCaptcha to the registration page. Either it's pretty clever what they are doing or there's people out there that are doing this manually.
