Anybody else getting loads of adverts through the threads? Get a stoooooopidly big advert at the top of the screen too.

Had to move to Google Auto Ads and that's the initial implementation. Now sure what level of control I have and I'm afraid we need them to pay the bills.... (Unless I look into charging membership which isn't really what I want to do).

How much do you need to make? Would £1 per membership cover it?

RS246 was built to pay for itself and to avoid membership fees, so it would be a last resort. The other problem with membership is implementing automated controls.
I'm not going to disclose the financials, but Google Ads is the main source of hassle free reliable income for the site.
I'm working on tuning the ad placement now and see if I can tone it down a bit

Initial tuning done, just waiting for it to update.
All this is part of GDPR compliance and the way RS246 serves Ads (Royal pain in the arse!!).

There are literally ads sitting between peoples text on posts and then either side of that post it’s an absolute bombardment of untargeted spam!

Or, you could pull your digit out and sort the merch out that we were on about a few years back!!
