I've been working on trying to speed things up but it's going to take some testing and probably a new server with faster disks. Will get on it in the next few days.

Don't suppose anyone knows how to tune MySQL/MariaDB? The server is suffering from CPU iowait.

Found the problem!!! One of the disks in the RAID array is dying. I've taken it offline.

RAID array is a redundant term, don't use it (see what I did there?)
No matter where you go, there you are.

Well, I have to take my hat off to Fasthosts...

19/01/2017 10.13 PM - I opened a ticket
19/01/2017 10.28 PM - Fastshosts 1st response
19/01/2017 11.09 PM - Fastshosts asked if they could replace disk around midnight
19/01/2017 11.32 PM - I call and speak directly to the guy I've been dealing with and confirm to go ahead
20/01/2017 00.53 AM - Fastshosts shutdown the server
20/01/2017 00.58 AM - Server back online
20/01/2017 01.31 AM - Fasthosts confirm job complete and site is up and running.

Five minutes of downtime!! I was looking at moving to a different provider, but this has seriously boosted my customer loyalty.

Chunks, can I hire you to look after the "back end"?
Bam, very clever :) I don't have the brain power to put together something with mirror and striped.

Yup, I'll take care of the back end. Don't get bum_bum to do it, he'll leave it open to be attacked by anything.

That's one way to look at it, however, who else would you want to do your penetration testing other than a guy who is second to none at penetrating your mum's rear end?

Bobby fett, this guy goes in deep, way deep, so far the <beep> doesn't know when to stop. I bet he's not far from your old chaps front door, that's how far he digs.
