Look, it's giving the forum bad press now:

Might be worth burying the FON link? Not all newbies have the same childish sense of humour as Bam, Phil T and myself etc

Having the FON link to the rules means that people can easily see that it's all light-hearted humour. Without the link, it could more easily be misinterpreted (even though I find that people could take it at the first degree baffling). Anyway, it's moot. The link appears to be back.

I think what keeps a forum on top is the content (useful info, FAQs, knowledgeable people) and what keeps the people contributing all that content is the atmosphere / humour / banter.

If a forum turns into a dull trainspotting forum, or an illiterate chav-fest then I'm outta there. Long live RS246.com.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Most people don't know what FON is and when they do, they should understand the light-heartedness from the rest of the rules.

Fact is that we are getting busier and busier, so we must be doing something right :)

Agreed in that respect. Most newbies have a sense of humour. Only a small minority don't thankfully
