FYI

My antivirus on my home PC is going mad when I open new RS246 pages, suggesting malware, and I think its the google ads, because the virus checker is blocking them from appearing?

url something along the lines of http://www.pool.admedo.com

Anyone else finding similar?

Ahhhh, so the problem I likely to be now ON my PC, rather than the antivirus blanking suspect pop up ads?!

I never even see ads - Adblock for chrome when using the desktop was the best thing I ever installed.

Can you post the log from your antivirus please or email it to Crew@RS246.com?

My guess is that it's unlikely to be viruses from Google ads, but we'll see.

Will have a look tonight Phil - stuck in the office atm. Suspect its just my virus checker erring on the side of caution and flagging the link on the googleads is 'suspect'

(googleads blocked via work brower, no issues or warnings at work)

Reminds me of this weird issue a while back - again not RS246 at fault I hasten to add - seemed to be googlead connected

I had a read and it seems inconclusive. Avast seem to be unique in classifying this as malware and there is a suggestion that the latest update results in no more alerts...

Could you do a full scan of your machine and let me know if anything fishy pops up?

Already done, brought up absolutely nothing. I think you are spot on - just Avast just being over protective. :beerchug:

Ok, so for the last couple of days, when I open a page on the forum with my iPhone my browser gets hijacked and I'm taken to an AppStore page for betting shops. WTF?!

Is this a malicious ad? Please tell me it's not a new forum policy!

To be fair, whenever I click on this forum from Google, I get taken to adultfriendfinder on the first click...

This is on an iPhone.

You'd think Google would filter this kind of invasive spamming on the ads they serve up. Unless they condone it? Can't be hard for them to check for the tags.
