Pop ups?

Post by Ian_C » Sat Jan 10, 2015 12:41 am

Anyone else getting any pop up ads this evening? I got a few earlier, just trying to work out if its my browser, or anything to do with RS246, or more likely the Google ads on RS246. Seemed to occur when I was on RS246 pages with images attached?

Checked I'm on the current version of Firefox, closed Firefox, did a virus scan, restarted Firefox, opened various webpages but *not* RS246, went to watch a film, came back two hours later, no pop ups. Opened RS246, few minutes later I had the same pop up?

Google suggests its most likely linked to the google ads, but that the pop up probably isn't malicious.

From what I understand, Google does not allow pop up ads, so maybe there's something else amiss here.

Was more of a page redirect that a pop up advert? The page I was on would suddenly change from RS246 to the url mentioned above without me clicking anything. Quick search suggests its happened on several websites / forums over the last fortnight. All redirected to this specific url. Very strange, hasn't done it since the night I posted it
