When I use "list=" it puts the list statement in the text of the message

I was expecting just a list of names....

Look:

[list=names]
Bob
Dave
Steve
Andy
[/list]

Results in :

I copy and pasted your test and it does the same thing - I just thought the code would interpret the list [as it did in your example]

Just odd ....

Looks like you just use

[list][/list]
