We could start a New Topic

"New Moderators required"

Anyone interested please put your name forward then it will go to a final vote

How many would everyone on here suggest we have ? Presuming we get enough people putting their names forward !!

Any other suggestions ?

Names of nominees in this thread please - http://www.rs246.com/index.php?name=PNp ... ic&t=83669

And if nominees have any specific areas of 'expertise' (B5, C5, B7, ect) - then that may help too.

Dave, hope you continue to visit here and post - have a break, but come back!.

In the few short months I've been visiting here, I've noticed this forum has its fair share of dips sticks, but its no different to any other forum, or life for that matter: clearly ownership of an RS4 is not exclusive of common sense or consideration of others points of view. :bash:

As a non dip stick you need to hang around and keep the balance, Mate. javascript

I can recommend taking a break. Life's too short to get upset over a website. At one point I was on here pretty much permanently. Try an hour a day.

It's like a drug.... You have to fight through the withdrawal :)

What a mad thread, but how cool is it that they debate leaving the board in a sensible fashion?

Be sad to see people think they are not welcome, always found it to be a good place myself
Can't beat a bit of boost!

Finally got sick to the back teeth of the way that Sims et al have manipulated and insulted long term members.

I'm off - let me know when he's gone...

Really that is grossly unfair.

DRC is an issue we disagree with, and the facts do not support you.

Carbon is another issue that you prefer everyone accepts Art's theory that there is no problem. The reality is that it's a worldwide issue (including the US!!. Check out quattroworld, auidworld, audizine).

I have challenged the status quo, and make no apologies for that. That is not the same as insulting, but yes I have been insulted by the same long term members but you think that is fair game.

Long term members often add value, but are not entitled to dispensations on their conduct or universal acceptance of their mantra.

I do hope you return, and perhaps just not get involved with the carbon/drc issues for they seem to be the sore points.

This debate has helped to keep 246 at the forefront. I have said time and time again that I am looking to the enjoyable long term ownership of the RS4 and the major issues are DRC, Carbon & the extended warranty cost in the UK. Nothing else is significant, and common to all such cars. :)
