Is RSP as in 'rs-pec da wheels' [img]images/graemlins/tung2.gif[/img]

The problem with the vehicle types is that they won't match up to what the users really own, same issue with 1.8, 2.0, etc...

Yeah that`s what i thought, using spec`s as a user title is going to be confusing.

A simple user rating would be good, so everybody can rate each other but also have the function to deduct points/stars too.

A bit like the old star rating system on the old ermmmm old site that went ermmmmmm that had problems! [img]images/graemlins/tung2.gif[/img]

Leave the user ratings turned off. They can be very false/misleading and there are no end of arguements. [img]images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]
I don't miss them. Best off without them [img]images/graemlins/cool.gif[/img]

I much prefer this User Profile hack. Much more valuable than the stars system.

I think that you really need a rating system related to number of posts based upon a model that anyone can see instantly as being hierachacally better than the previous level. A bit like the airlines or the banks use.

So Blue; Silver; Gold; VIP Gold; Platimum; VIP Platinum or somewing like that depending on how many tiers you want to have.

Essentailly what we have now but doing away with titles like journeyman which don't actually mean anything to anyone.

I'm with Paul on this.
Best off without the user ratings IMHO.
Can remember them causing no end of bother on the other forum.
I thought the "new way" of the running of this site was to get away from the hierachacy thingy anyway [img]images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

But as far as the user titles go then I have no idea as to what to use [img]images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img]

I`ve got a better idea...... just change the current user titles (journey man, memeber etc) to something alittle better but have another rating not based on posts but by the following for example :-

Total time spent on RS246.com? [img]images/graemlins/thumbs.gif[/img] [img]images/graemlins/beerchug.gif[/img]

1. Battery charge : indicates level of completion of profile

2. Stars (in the charge indicator) :
- 1 to 5 : based on ratings by other registered members.

- GoodWood Green : attended 1 to 5 RS246 meetings
- Grey Avus : attended more than 5 RS246 meetings
- Imola Yellow : as Grey, plus attended the RS4 Challenge (so RS4 owners only)
- Daytona Grey : same as Yellow, but for the coming RS6 Challenge (so RS6 owners only).
- Brilliant Black : same as Yellow or D. Grey, plus attended the Ring.
- Misano Red : owns a Passat, an M Coupé, a male Giant Schnauzer and at least five snowboards. Very exclusive, cooptation required by other Reds.
"Oh me, me ! Pick me !"

Simple, huh ?

I've got an idea about the stars. Why not make Audirings. Then we have only got 4, but thats okay, isn't it?
